The process of defining managerial decisions becomes complex and difficult in a context of market so increasingly dynamic, volatile and less predictable. This process requires the support of new methodologies to represent and measure the dynamic complexity of the reality; methodologies that the manager can use to improve and increase the level of understanding of the phenomena. This issue will be addressed at the conference organized by ASAM (the Association for the Study of Business and Managerial) to present the Innovation Lab on Planning. This new Round Table will directly involve public and private companies in the discovery of new methods for planning through simulation and modeling. Our senior partner, prof. Luigi Geppert, will act as Scientific Director.
We are pleased to announce that the Paper "Business Process Modeling and Efficiency Improvement through an Agent-Based Approach" (*) won the Session's Best Paper Award! The paper was written by prof. Geppert and Eng. Manca in strict collaboration with the Bank of Italy rapresentatives. It was presented in July at the conference "The 8th International Symposium on Management, Engineering and Informatics: MEI 2012".
